Affinity is offering group activities to NDIS participants.

Cooking Group

Each week we aim to create new recipes - desserts, snacks, main meals - we try them all. We aim for easy and affordable cooking that you can recreate at home. We focus on the whole process of planning, shopping for and creating our recipes together so you have the skills to do it solo. Join us to create new things and some old favourites.

Life Skills

This program is a 12 week program delivered by our team to help you build capacity to navigate areas of every day life as independently as possible. This program is delivered in small groups at regular intervals throughout the year. Areas of focus include healthy eating, relationships, boundary setting, basic first aide, job readiness, mental health, accessing public transport and more. This program has limited spots, so reach out now to secure your place in the next group.

Tech Support

The aim of this program is to offer support for people who might need assistance in developing their skills when using technology or for people who do not have secure and regular access to technology. We are hoping to assist people to do things such as build their resume, link to MYGOV, applications to Centrelink, using technology safely and more. This service is offered to people as requested as a one off or on a regular basis.

budget support

We are offering one on one support for finance and budget support. This includes creating and reviewing a budget. We can provide this support once off or are able to provide ongoing and regular assistance as required. We hope to support you to be more indepenent with money management and to meet your goals.

Arts and Crafts

We have created a safe and relaxing space for you to come and explore our arts and crafts. We have some activities on offer, but you can also bring your own. We are always open to exploring new activities if suggested. We will also be offering opportunities to partake in guided activities for specific arts and crafts.

Kids Group

This after school program has been developed to help kids learn skills in fun and interactive ways through games and activities. We focus on areas such as problem solving, emotional regulation, social skills, boundary making and setting and more. Children are encouraged to attend on a regular basis so that they can develop and maintain relationships they create through these groups, and continue to build skills that will assist them as they grow.

Drivers Licence readiness assistance

For people who are interested in applying for their learners drivers license but might need extra assistance we are offering a one on one support to: sign up to Department of Transport, complete practice tests for Learners Drivers License and provide assistance to complete the Learners Drivers test. This is offered when requested and can be one off or more regular if required.
